Restoration and new areas for heritage hotel

This major refurbishment in two stages included restoring the grand entrance foyer and ornate spiral timber staircase, rejuvenating the lounge and gaming areas, and creating new spaces such as the courtyard, rooftop terrace and a new boutique bar.

We worked closely with the client from the early stages to help them understand the cost saving options and we mocked-up all four bars for staff to test heights and work flows.

Strong collaboration with both the client and architect ensured we could integrate heritage elements seamlessly into the new design and that challenges of the century-old building were resolved in the most cost-effective way.
