Redlands Sporting Club

Rohrig recently completed a major renovation of the Redlands Sporting Club, with the Brisbane Bayside icon unveiling its new ‘Haven’ restaurant in November.

Completed in just 21 weeks, the project was handed over four weeks ahead of schedule, in time for the Club’s Cup Day tradition. With a fast turnaround required, we demonstrated our exceptional project management skills while ensuring the Club remained operational throughout the renovation.

Cayas + Ward undertook the design and architecture for the stunning new facility. This elegant space includes a new restaurant, commercial kitchen, and a new bar within the gaming area.

Works commenced with an internal strip-out and demolition of existing areas, before the new features were constructed. A range of innovative materials, including large-scale sheet tiles, engineered stone, and brass, were used to create a modern and luxurious ambiance.

To minimize disruption to patrons and staff, we utilised full-height black hoarding lined with acoustic panels, allowing us to effectively manage noise whilst in construction.

We worked closely with the venue owner to value engineer this project, ensuring that it fit within the initial budget despite the fast turnaround.  Through careful material selection, we provided the client with significant savings while maintaining the high-level finish they desired.
