Hervey Bay Golf Club

Rohrig recently completed a major refurbishment at the Hervey Bay Golf Club, modernising the clubhouse and increasing capacity for the growing venue.

We were engaged for this project, having previously completed the Burpengary Community Club for the client.

Architecture was undertaken by Bloc Designs, featuring unique themes like a golf hole themed entry and a fresh, airy layout offering spectacular views of the course.

A significantly larger kitchen, additional function and dining space, and extension of the sports bar and gaming area allow for increased patron numbers while an inviting new entry and reception area offer a premium experience.

The new kitchen allows for direct buffet serving, improving operational efficiency for staff while drop-down screens allow the area to be hidden. One-way mirrored sliding doors also hide the kitchen from guests, while allowing staff to monitor the function space.

Our full-size mockup service allowed real-world operational checks to be undertaken, even testing and optimising travel paths from the kitchen to various service areas. This innovative kitchen design even allows dual service capabilities, catering to both function spaces and the club bistro during peak times.

All construction work was undertaken in a live environment, with a temporary kitchen installed and services maintained, allowing full operation throughout the refurbishment.
