Refurbishment of existing restaurant and café
A full refurbishment the Botanic Gardens restaurant included a new bar, amenities and external deck to level 1, creating the new Botanic House for celebrity chef Luke Nguyen. The ground floor internal refurbishment to the existing café included new amenities and commercial kitchen with servery to form the Farm Cove Eatery. Challenges associated with working in the busy Botanic Gardens, concurrent construction of two venues (Botanic House & Terrace on the Domain), and a very tight program determined by wedding bookings at both venues did not deter the Rohrig team.
On top of that, there were numerous scope changes due to existing building latent conditions as well as inclement weather conditions, and still Rohrig was able to deliver the project on time. The client was amazed at the efforts of the Rohrig team in achieving a quality outcome in such a short timeframe.
