Warehousing and HGV truck workshop
Rohrig undertook this design and construct project to a very tight timeline. The scope included warehousing, dry store and cold-room, a 2-storey office building, drivers’ accommodation, fuel station and weighbridge.
The facilities for heavy goods vehicles and constant forklift traffic required maximum durability and we recommended a special armoured joint system for the concrete slabs. This gives a seamless finish for a smoother, stronger and safer surface.
This project also called for in-depth collaboration with the developer and end client to meet everyone’s expectations. The developer, Peter Harbug, said: ”Rohrig does an open book, where they get involved in the planning stage… it worked extremely well to plan the whole thing.”
