Burpengary Community Club

A stunning new club delivered on tight timeline

The Burpengary Community Club is a new club in the growing Moreton Bay region north of Brisbane. It was Rohrig’s second brand new club in the region, following the North Lakes Sports Club in 2017.

The complete fit-out included the kitchen, restaurant, bistro, café and gaming areas. It also featured special finishes including natural stone in the restaurant and main bar, and a stepped timber panel ceiling with brass mirrors and gold Vitrapanel walls in the foyer.

The accelerated timeframe and an high quality finish were made possible by very positive collaboration between Rohrig, the client, the base builder and KP architects.

We worked collaboratively to redesign the proposed food and beverage component. Our mock-up helped streamline and test workflows for the kitchen, food service and bars. We also identified modifications and alternative finishes to increase functionality and durability while reducing the fit-out costs.

Despite some unexpected challenges we needed to navigate around, such as major changes to the plumbing design, we handed over the project on time, defect-free and ready for the Burpengary community to enjoy the new facilities.
