Rohrig brings St Bonaventure’s College to life

25 August 2025

Rohrig is proud to be delivering the first stage of construction at St Bonaventure’s College, Brisbane Catholic Education’s newest Prep to Year 12 school, located in the fast-growing community of Flagstone, Logan, Queensland.

Set to accommodate more than 1,800 students, the College will provide a rich and inclusive learning environment for families across the greater Flagstone region. Scheduled to open in 2026, welcoming first intake of Prep to Year 3 and Year 7 students.

“St Bonaventure’s will provide high-quality, accessible education for families in Flagstone and surrounding areas,” said Bonaventure College’s Principle, Anthony Elmore.

“It will be more than just a school; it will be a place where lifelong friendships are formed and a strong sense of community is built. It is impressive to see this vision coming to life as we near the completion of stage one.”

Rohrig is working closely with project managers Generate Property Group and Macksey Rush Architects to deliver facilities that will form the foundation of the new campus.

Significant progress has already been achieved, with the team now shifting their focus to the internal works and run home to completion.

Fit out and finishing stages are well underway for Building 10, which will house middle years learning areas, food technology and science rooms, and Building 4, home to early years learning spaces. Both buildings on track for final detailing in the coming months.

Elsewhere on site, Buildings 2 and 3 include the student hub, administration offices, library, staff rooms, uniform store, canteen and a large multi-purpose hall. These are advancing towards completion of lock-up.

Externally, the site is transforming rapidly as construction of roads, car parks and hardstands continues to progress.

“Stage One of the school’s masterplan is progressing quickly, made possible through ongoing collaboration with the client and partners, and our team’s enduring focus on delivering high-quality outcomes on schedule with an outstanding team of subcontractors and suppliers that are really making this a terrific project to be involved with,” said Rohrig Construction Manager, Matthew Tucker.

“The entire team are excited to be delivering these foundation facilities, as the College prepares to welcome their inaugural admission of students and staff in 2026.”
