Rohrig renewal for Faith Lutheran College

10 December 2025

Faith Lutheran College Plainland is undergoing a significant campus-wide renewal to meet the needs of the growing Lockyer Valley region, culminating in a new administration hub and rejuvenated learning precincts.

The project, valued at more than $10 million, was delivered by Rohrig in just over 12 months, providing vital new infrastructure to support both students and staff as the College prepares for future growth.

At the heart of the project is a new two-storey administration building, designed by architects Bickerton Masters, delivering innovative, multi-use working environments with unique design elements like brick-facing tiles that give the building a contemporary aesthetic. The project also incorporated the refurbishment of two existing student buildings and adjoining outdoor areas, along with a large new carpark.

The new administration building features leadership offices, staff rooms, a boardroom, reception areas, and a sick bay, providing a professional and welcoming ‘front door’ to the growing campus. Our team constructed the new building while the existing admin building remained fully operational, ensuring a seamless transition for staff and minimal disruption for the College.

While the new building was taking shape, the Rohrig Team also worked on refurbishing the two existing buildings. These learning spaces were modernised, and the adjoining outdoor areas were transformed into inspiring student hubs with breakout areas, media spaces, and a covered outdoor learning area.

The project also included the development of a new 90-bay carpark, further enhancing the accessibility and capacity of the campus for staff and visitors.

Managing concurrent works within a live school environment required careful programming, and our teams ensured all three components of the project were delivered on-time and with minimal impact on daily school operations.

“Working on concurrent sites, in a live school environment, means every last detail of planning has to be looked at and perfected ” said Rohrig Construction Manager, Elliot Sterling.

“By running the new build, refurbishments, and civil works in parallel, we delivered the project efficiently, on-time and without disruption to the College. This allowed educators and students to continue going about their days as normal.”

Rohrig is dedicated to creating exceptional educational environments that provide the foundation for future success. We are thrilled to have delivered this multi-faceted project at Faith Lutheran College, helping accommodate the growing number of families within the Lockyer Valley.
