Having previously completed three projects on the 300-metre-high Sydney Tower, Rohrig returned in 2020 for a full refurbishment of the rotating dining and buffet venues on levels 1 and 2, plus additional works on a large commercial kitchen and installation of air-conditioning and refrigeration units.
The project had many challenges to overcome, including working through the height of COVID restrictions, exceedingly difficult access via small lifts, asbestos removal and the rotating floors.
Despite the multiple and complex considerations, Rohrig delivered the project on time and within budget with estimated savings of $400,000 in variations.
