Rohrig was appointed to design and construct the relaunch of an iconic Gold Coast venue. The project included the renovation and update of the bistro, public bar and Façade and the introduction of a new feature microbrewery.

Working with Tom Mark Henry for the interiors, we managed the design process within a very tight budget.  Rigorous value-engineering saved on areas that were not vital to the quality and intent of the design. Our early involvement also meant we could lock in prices on materials with long lead-times, preventing the frequent rises in the COVID-affected market.

We managed all the details, from approvals to design drawings and liaison with residents above the venue. Our project management ensured the project came in on time as well as on budget.

The new microbrewery is creating an attractive point of difference for Sopo with two 600- litre vats constantly brewing a variety of craft beers, lagers and ciders exclusive to the venue.
