Al-Faisal College, Stages 3 & 4
Rohrig has delivered a major multi-stage expansion at Al-Faisal College – Liverpool, located in Austral, to support the college’s growing student base.
This project was designed by PMDL Architecture and Design and involved Stage 3 and Stage 4 of the school’s expansion masterplan.
The two stages were delivered concurrently, which included the construction of a two-storey Kindergarten building and two-storey Year 3 building, both featuring concrete roofs and open central atriums, a large pedestrian ramp, amenities including bathrooms and staff areas, and extensive landscaping outside. The Year 3 building also included a servery and canteen.
Our team offered significant structural value engineering for this project, converting the original suspended slabs to a post-tensioned system, re-engineering the piles, and simplifying footing and lining designs to deliver cost savings for the client.
Navigating the live school environment safely required close coordination with College leadership and careful programming from our team. Utility and power diversions were scheduled outside of school hours to prevent disruptions, and deliveries were planned around peak drop-off traffic.
Both stages were handed over early, ensuring a seamless transition for staff and students.
