MGI Office Refurbishment

Rohrig was engaged to complete a quick-turnaround office refurbishment for MGI, located in the Brisbane CBD, providing them with a modern office design and improved facilities.

Architectural design was undertaken by Blayke Interiors, alongside Rohrig, applying an innovative design to maximise the space.

The project began with us stripping the existing office, located on the first floor of a high-rise office building, without interruption to other tenants.

We then proceeded to construct the exciting new office space; with new floor finishes, ceilings, joinery, fit-out, electrical, and mechanical services undertaken.

The refreshed office features a spacious open-plan layout with new workstations, dedicated ‘quiet rooms’, kitchen, and reception area.

Distinctive Supawood ceilings create a beautifully spacious feel and hanging light fittings illuminate the contemporary office space.

We encountered various challenges throughout the project, which we carefully and efficiently managed, such as working around live offices on other floors of the building and large deliveries in the heart of the CBD.

The quick turnaround of this project required employees to work from home, ensuring construction works didn’t disrupt business operations.

This exciting project was delivered on time, on budget, and it exceeded the client’s expectations — providing the MGI team with an inspiring new workplace.
