Llewellyn Motors
Rohrig has successfully delivered a major greenfield automotive precinct for Springfield City Group, Llewellyn Motors, Actuated Design, and Project Strategies Australia expanding the region’s commercial footprint with the new mega-dealer site.
Our team was engaged under a Design & Construct model, beginning with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), which allowed us to provide detailed cost planning, value engineering, staging strategies, and tender documentation well before ground was broken.
The dual-facility site features Australia’s first Toyota dealership built under the brand’s new model, alongside a multi-brand building housing Subaru, GMSV, GWM, XPENG, and Leapmotor. Both dealerships contain expansive showrooms, administrative offices, customer lounges, delivery bays, and state-of-the-art workshops.
Navigating challenging sloped terrain with reactive soil, the Rohrig team coordinated significant bulk earthworks, importing engineered subgrade and constructing a boundary shoring wall to prevent slippage. Through our ECI phase, we also redesigned the civil sewer infrastructure and reduced retaining wall heights to maximise street visibility for displayed vehicles.
Our team scaled site leadership to build both facilities concurrently in order to achieve the desired timeline, as well as staging tilt-panel crane lifts at night and facilitating early workshop access for hoist installation.
