Boundary Hotel
Refurbishment of heritage hotel
The Boundary is a popular, heritage-listed hotel in Brisbane’s eclectic West End. Its complete refurbishment, designed by KP Architects, has transformed the pub into a multi-purpose destination – marrying its iconic character with contemporary touches that suit its locality.
The project included four new bars (including a roof-top bar), new beer garden, three new food-prep areas and complete refurbishment of all dining, gaming and function spaces.
Rohrig skilfully managed the challenges inherent in the 150-year-old venue and its location on a tight streetscape with restricted access. Our solutions revealed the most cost-effective ways to achieve the design intent. The street frontage meant almost daily public interface to manage deliveries and construction safely.
We road-tested the food service areas with our unique mock-up process and managed the entire program to avoid the hotel’s busy times.
