Rohrig Returns to Lindisfarne for the Next Stage of Campus Growth
Following the successful completion of the Senior Centre and Food Technology Building refurbishment, Rohrig is proud to be back at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School to deliver the next stage of the school’s campus evolution.
The project comprises the new Year 7 Centre and the redevelopment of the Creative Industries precinct. The Year 7 Centre will provide 11 flexible learning spaces for the school’s newest students, while the Creative Industries redevelopment will deliver new and refurbished facilities for art, textiles, robotics, digital fabrication and practical learning.
Construction is progressing strongly across both areas of the campus. Within the new Year 7 Centre, the recently poured Latitude Forum stairs are beginning to define one of the project’s key gathering spaces, while roof panel installation and internal wall framing works are well underway. As the structure continues to emerge, attention is turning to external wall framing, ceiling framing and the progression of building services throughout the facility.
Construction Manager Ben Dyhrberg said delivering these projects within the heart of an operating school showcased one of Rohrig’s core strengths.
“We’re thrilled to be back at Lindisfarne after successfully completing the Senior Centre and Food Technology refurbishment. Both projects are being delivered in the centre of a live school environment, and managing that safely while minimising disruption is something our team specialises in.”
Strong progress is also being made on the Creative Industries redevelopment, with key structural milestones recently achieved including the completion of the internal upper floor deck, southern extension slabs and installation of new roof trusses.
With the major structure advancing, the next phase of work will include roof replacement, external cladding and render, and preparation for window installation as the building envelope continues to take shape.
“It’s exciting to see these new learning environments taking shape. Every milestone brings us closer to handing over spaces that students and teachers will use and enjoy every day.” Ben said.
As works continue, the projects are beginning to reveal their impact on the wider campus, creating new educational spaces while building on Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School’s reputation for high-quality learning environments.
