The Rohrig team is excited to share a progress update on the new Llewellyn Motors precinct in Springfield, as construction accelerates at the greenfield site with the doors set to open in the second half of 2026.

This major project will offer an unparalleled automotive retail experience, delivered in partnership with Springfield City Group, Llewellyn Motors, Project Strategies Australia, and Actuated Design. Beyond the buildings, the project also includes an open car park and a private road to seamlessly connect the site to the existing Springfield community.

Once completed, the precinct will offer world-class automotive facilities across two buildings. The first will feature a workshop and service reception on the lower ground floor, flowing into a premium Toyota showroom and sales offices on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the second building will house a multi-brand showroom for GMSV, Subaru, and GWM, alongside a workshop, service reception and sales offices on the ground floor, and additional administration offices on a mezzanine level.

Rohrig was initially engaged on this project through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process. This allowed our team to provide detailed cost planning, value engineering, staging strategies, and tender documentation well before ground was broken.

This highly collaborative ECI process delivered significant value, ultimately enabling the final design to be realised within the client’s desired budget and allocated time frame.

“This project is a massive undertaking, and watching it progress from an empty greenfield site to a state-of-the-art automotive hub will be incredibly rewarding,” said Rohrig Construction Manager, Matthew Tucker.

“The early value engineering really set us up for success, and our teams are now making fantastic headway on this exciting project.”

Physical construction is now well underway, with the roofing complete at the Toyota showroom, allowing the team to focus on the installation of services through the showroom and workshop. Next up is the glazing and facade installation, as the multi-use building comes together.

Progress is equally exciting at the GMSV, Subaru, and GWM building, where the high-level service rough-in are currently taking place. The team is now tackling the external concrete car park preparation and ongoing pours.

Across the broader site, civil and external works are well underway, with ongoing progress on the external stairs, ramps, and critical in-ground services.

At Rohrig, we pride ourselves on building innovative commercial spaces that drive our clients’ success. We look forward to sharing more updates as the exciting Springfield Vicinity Motors project progresses.
