Multi-stage refurbishment

The refurbishment and extension of the club included a new reception area, new café, new lift, new kids’ room and renovation of restaurant, lounge and exterior.

An important objective for the client was having it all complete in time for a Melbourne Cup function and this was achieved. It involved complex staging to allow entry at all times despite rebuilding ceilings and relaying floor tiles. The Rohrig team worked day and night shifts for two months and did a clean-up every morning ready for opening.

Thanks to close collaboration and cooperation with the client, we were able to make savings as well as meet the tight deadline.
