Modern Refresh for Iconic Broadbeach Bowls Club
Rohrig recently refurbished the picturesque Broadbeach Bowls Club, located in the heart of the Gold Coast, expanding and modernising the longstanding club for future generations to enjoy. Established in 1954, the Broadbeach Bowls Club has been a local favourite, known for its pristine greens and ocean breeze, serving the community for decades.
The new design, envisioned by David Raby Architects, focuses on creating an inviting and contemporary atmosphere throughout the venue. The renovations have transformed the gaming room, main foyer, performance centre, and sports lounge, with a cohesive design that elevates the popular club. Our team led the Early Contractor Involvement process, collaborating closely to ensure the cost planning and strategic design adhered to both the club’s budget and dream outcome.
Careful staging allowed the club to remain fully operational from start to finish, with our team opting to undertake the works across two stages. The first stage involved refurbishing the large gaming room, reception, and foyer areas. Following this, the team overhauled the TAB and sports lounge areas.
“Keeping a popular club like this trading smoothly is always our top priority,” said Rohrig Construction Manager, Ben Dyhrberg. “Our solution was to implement a multi-stage plan, as well as a temporary gaming area. This carefully planned approach allowed us to complete the project in just 12 weeks.”
The end result is a modern, light-filled venue that boasts premium finishes, including curved timber walls and modern recessed lighting, while retaining the charm and friendly service it’s known for.
Rohrig is your trusted hospitality leader, and the transformation of the Broadbeach Bowls Club marks another proud addition to our portfolio of projects.
