After a comprehensive renovation, Brisbane’s iconic Greek Club can now safely take the claim of Brisbane’s most stylish destination for Greek dining.
The modern Greek aesthetic inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture was designed by KP Architects. Each element of the venue is a modern taste of the Greek Islands right here in Brisbane.
The Greek Club General Manager Andrew Tambakis said the refurbishment works represented a new era for the venue, and for Brisbane.
“The club stands as one of the most versatile event space offerings in Brisbane and now, with this renovation program complete, it raises the bar again.”
Rohrig completed the ambitious refurbishment within 15 weeks and on-time. Upgrades included a boardroom, Acropolis and Olympus function rooms, restaurant, bar, and terrace on the ground floor. Upstairs, the new grand balcony offers an excellent view of Musgrave Park and the city skyline.
New to the revived venue is the Nostimo Restaurant Bar, a refined modern Greek restaurant. The 180-seat restaurant features white rendered walls, over 15,000 cascading worry beads, thatched ceilings and terrazzo finishes. The detail in the finishes has produced an authentic Greek-style ambience.
Hot on the heels of the completed project, Rohrig hosted its Annual Queensland Networking Event at the Greek Club where both Rohrig staff and guests were thoroughly impressed with the completed project. Glenn Rohrig, Rohrig’s Managing Director, was thrilled with the outcome of the project, commenting “The multi-Million dollar upgrade will ensure the venue’s competitiveness and relevance in the Brisbane restaurant and event scene well into the future”.
