At Rohrig we are always striving to not only maximise value for our customers, but also to bring out the best in our people. We like to see all of our people realise their potential. It makes their work more rewarding, and our company great.
So when our employees or teams achieve great things for the business, deliver great outcomes to our clients, or activate the potential in our projects we like to celebrate their success.
The Rohrig Annual Awards night is a time to recognise those who have made a significant contribution to the business’ success in the last twelve months and achieved something great.
This year there were 17 awards presented, including five gold, five silver and seven bronze. The winners were also given prize money in recognition of their achievements. Employees who have been with the company for ten or more years have an award named in their honour, and get to present the award on the night.
The Cabra-Vale Diggers project team was the standout on the night, winning the ‘Best Quality Site of the Year’, the ‘Safest Project of the Year’ and the ultimate award for ‘Best Project of the Year’. The Hilton Glass Brasserie and Rooty Hill RSL project teams also won multiple awards.
Glenn Rohrig, Founder and Managing Director said “It was very hard to single people and projects out, with so many teams and individuals going beyond the call of duty to deliver value for clients. However the winners were the most exceptional, and really stepped up to find their potential.”
The 2018 awards night was themed ‘Heroes versus Villains’. Staff, guests and their partners came together in a diverse array of creative costumes to celebrate. In typical form, everyone went ‘all out’ to embrace the theme; some even going to the extent of shaving their hair to ensure they best emulated their chosen character for the night.
After the presentation ceremony, everyone danced the night away to the music of the impressive ‘Rohrig Rock Band’, pausing to celebrate before returning to another year of stretching further to add value for clients.
